As Fstoppers' resident aviation dork and lone Angeleno, I'd be making a huge mistake not to share this incredible timelapse of Endeavour's final journey. Filmed over a sleepless weekend by an all-star timelapse team, the video chronicles Endeavour's slow, delicate, and surreal journey (which made for the perfect timelapse subject) from Los Angeles International Airport to its final resting place at the California Science Center.
This is the perfect use of timelapse, if you ask me, and if it doesn't put a smile on your face, I'm pretty sure you're not human. The joy on the faces of spectators is palpable, and I'm sure it is something that we won't see again in this lifetime.
So we have nothing to replace the shuttle program with. This video was fantastic but sort of sad to see such a spectacular symbol of American pride being put out to pasture. Maybe one day we will reach for the stars for ourselves instead of hitching rides from the Russians. I mean, if Felix Baumgartner can make it a quarter of the way up into space I think we can make it the rest of the way as a republic called the United State of America.

There's plenty to "replace" the STS from both commercial and NASA outlets.
Awesome movie, though!
Thank you for sharing our timelapse film, Mike! So thrilling to see how science, space, and the most incredibly complex machine ever created by man can inspire and captivate an entire city!
Is it me or these timelapses are done to a point beyond belief?
is it me or are some of these comments beyond belief? Stop, relax, and appreciate.
awesome
Great video. Also now strangely hungry for a donut from "Randy's".

A collaborative piece that captures Endeavors last flight around Cali, enjoy! Try not to cry too much:)
