DJI has once again redefined what’s possible in aerial imaging with the launch of the DJI Mini 5 Pro, the world’s first sub-250 g mini drone to feature a 1-inch CMOS sensor. Compact yet powerful, the palm-sized drone pushes its boundary with pro-level image quality, advanced safety features, and extended flight time, making it a versatile tool for creators at any level.
What Makes the Mini 5 Pro Stand Out
Pro-Level Imaging in a Compact Body
The Mini 5 Pro now includes a 50 MP 1-inch sensor with a new 48 mm Med-Tele mode that produces a higher-resolution image with digital zoom. It is capable of recording 4K/60 fps HDR video with up to 14 stops of dynamic range and slow motion at 4K/120 fps. It also supports 10-bit video using H.265 encoding with the maximum ISO raised to 12,800. Meanwhile, in D-Log M and HLG color modes, the maximum ISO is raised to 3,200.
Creative Freedom with a Flexible Gimbal
Its gimbal supports a 225° roll rotation and true vertical shooting to capture social-ready content with no cropping needed. Intelligent modes like QuickShot Rotate, Timelapse, Spotlight, and Waypoint Flight further expand creative options.
Confident Flying in Low Light With Nightscape Omnidirectional Sensing
Forward-facing LiDAR and Nightscape omnidirectional sensing make features like Nighttime Return-to-Home and non-GNSS RTH possible, which add reliability in urban or low-signal environments and make night flying safer.
Smarter Tracking and Faster Sharing
Upgraded ActiveTrack 360° adapts to different scenarios for stable, safe tracking. Off-State QuickTransfer supports up to 100 MB/s via Wi-Fi 6 for quick file transfers within the Bluetooth range without powering on the drone.
Extended Flight Time
Standard Intelligent Flight Battery offers up to 36 minutes; Intelligent Flight Battery Plus pushes it further to 52 minutes.
The DJI Mini 5 Pro sets a new benchmark and pushes boundaries of what is capable for mini drones. It blends portability with professional-grade imaging and safety features that inspire confidence when flying both during the day and at night. On a side note, according to DJI, the Mini 5 Pro will not be available officially in the US market via store.dji.com.
