A lot of people own drones this day in age and a lot of us use them for different things. I use my drone for photography and videography, whereas other people use them for agriculture, inspections, FPV Racing and so on. This video is very interesting because it is a taste of behind the scenes for an FPV/Videography mix and is very well done.
I myself have never personally flown an First Person View (FPV) with the goggles and all, but I did get to throw on a pair while someone was flying their FPV drone. To me, this was an experience itself as it seemed so different from flying the drones I am used to. Everything from the speed, the sharp turns, and actual image in the goggles was something I was not used to at all. Because I fly specifically to film and photograph, I don't see myself wearing these goggles, but it would be cool to try one day!
This video is an unstablized, practice version of a more popular one (below) from the same pilot. It is neat to see some of the errors he made as he tried to navigate his drone through all different sorts of spaces. Amazingly, he achieves a lot of these which I am sure requires a ton of skill and a whole lot of practice. The reason I wrote this article is because no matter what you do, you can always do something that you are proud of. Seeing Robert fly this drone the way he does and seeing what he is able to produce from it is really inspiring to me because I know that he is probably out there on that same beach almost everyday practicing these moves over and over again. I am sure that he is out there practicing as much as he can just so he can be one of the only people capable of making a video like this and cheers to him for that. I myself began flying on the beach and it became a place for me to learn just about everything I know about aerial photography. With that background and all that practice, I am now able to do the work I do.
Like Robert, I encourage everybody to find a place they are comfortable doing something they enjoy. I think that this is really important because in this place, we learn so much and benefit from that because of all the time we spend there practicing what we love. It is amazing to see passionate people creating new things and it is even more amazing to see people get out there and chase their passion.
