In the latest video from Fstoppers, professional architectural photographer Mike Kelley critiques images submitted by fellow photographers. All of the images were submitted by architectural photographers who are part of a closed group on Facebook.
In my view, one of the most difficult things to master in photography is composition. This is also one of the most important factors in photography and especially true for architectural photography. What I've personally found to be extremely useful is being part of a community of fellow photographers who are not only interested in developing their own skills but also helping others. This why the "Architectural Photography By Mike Kelley" group on Facebook is so incredibly helpful. The amount I've managed to learn based on the feedback I've received from fellow photographers is beyond measure. I cannot overstate how valuable it is to have specific and more importantly "qualified" feedback from other working professionals.
I will also very happily say that this group is without a doubt the absolute best group I've ever been part of due to the sheer professionalism. It's unbelievable how a group on Facebook can be filled with people that are all genuinely wonderful people. I'm sure we all know what many other photography groups can be like at times. This group can only be accessed if you've bought one of the tutorials from Mike Kelley on the Fstoppers store; which I'm happy to say I personally did.
In the most recent video uploaded onto the Fstoppers channel, Kelley provides in-depth and detailed feedback on all a wide range of architectural images. I watched the video from start to finish and it's ridiculous how much I personally learned. Even if you're not an architectural photographer, I still highly recommend you watch the YouTube video, because the kind of feedback provided in the video is simply brilliant. I'm sure you may know that skills specific to a particular genre of photography can add a whole new dimension in another.

This was the best format for a critique video I have seen yet from Fstoppers. We need more of these.
Good video. I enjoyed it.
I have minimal interest in architectural photography, yet this was a great insight/critique. I'd love to see something this in depth with portraiture in mind.
