Generating decent income from YouTube is a dream of a lot of content creators, and you might be wondering what kind of money you can earn from the platform once you have found decent success. This great video features a prominent photography YouTuber sharing an honest look at the kind of money he makes from his channel and what you can expect.
Coming to you from Evan Ranft, this excellent video takes a look at the sort of revenue he makes from his YouTube channel. Ranft is one of the more prominent personalities on the platform (and he also makes fantastic content, so I suggest browsing his channel). He currently sits at approximately 172,000 subscribers, with over 11,000,000 total views on his 241 videos. As you can see in the video, he certainly generates some decent income from his efforts. On the other hand, I think it is important to remember just how much work it is to reach the level he has and to maintain it. The production side of things is very time-consuming, and it is also very difficult to constantly come up with new ideas for content that are engaging and on topic, which is why I have so much respect for top YouTubers like Ranft. It is a great look at the world behind the screen; check out the video above for the full rundown.
How to be a youtuber
1. Today we're talking about, sponsors, subscribe, long intros, buy my presets, buy my transitions
2. Music too loud
3. Bad audio
4. Fairy lights and gels
5. You should buy this even though you've never seen a video of me actually using it for a shoot
6. Goofy thumbnails
7. Too many goofy transitions
8. Cinematic color grading for no reason
9. Points to link in top corner that isn't there
10. Find the link below, not there
You always comment so bitter. If only you took the time and energy you feel with articles like this to create something positive instead.
Or they could all just stop trying to copy Peter Mckinnon.
You sound bitter
Nope, it's obvious the same thing every video. It gets old.
Lighting everything like a clown brothel and saying nothing of substance is the norm.

Don't do any of those, and still have a successful channel......
You're not someone just pawning off gear they got for free. You actually show work being done.
just saying that this is not every Youtuber. there are many awesome channels out there. Different strokes for different folks
You are spot on. Most of them aren’t actually working professionals. It’s an endless cycle of gear for the sake of gear.

Most Youtubers watch closely at what is trending. If a subject is hot, they make a video about it. If a brand is hot, they make video about it. If a camera or lens is hot, they make a clickbait video about it. It's really just go with the flow. Or go against and get views from haters. It's not that hard. You just need to follow up on things. But I'm sure there are apps and programs that are doing that for them.
Most of the time it's very obvious what is hot, you just get the same video recommended by Youtube, same content but different Youtuber. Stuff like. "Why I sold my Sony and went for a Pentax 67"
