Important Photography Income Streams

One of the things the pandemic taught us is how important it is to diversify one's income streams, particularly when events entirely outside our control can put those streams in serious jeopardy. The nice thing about photography, though, is that (depending on your genre at bit, admittedly) there are a lot of ways to make money from images besides simply shooting for a client who then pays you for your services. This great video essay features an experienced photographer discussing the importance of income streams.

Coming to you from Scott Choucino of Tin House Studio, this excellent video essay discusses income streams in photography. No doubt, it can be a bit of extra effort to create and maintain multiple income streams rather than focusing all your time and attention in one area. In doing so, though, you are often rewarded with more income and perhaps more importantly, more security in income, as the loss of one stream does not necessarily put you in dire financial straits and even allows you to reorient your priorities to other streams to make up the slack. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Choucino.

Things are not like they used to be. Brilliant advice.
