Join us May 13 - 17th for The Fstoppers Workshops 2015!

Last year we hosted our very first Fstoppers Workshops in the Bahamas and it was the most rewarding experiences of my life.  So many amazing friendships were made, long last memories were created, and most importantly so many photographers were able to take their businesses to the next level.  Today we are excited to announce the 2015 Fstoppers Workshops, and we hope you can be a part of another unbelievable experience.

The Fstoppers Workshops 2015 is taking place May 13th - 17th, 2015.  This workshop is basically an event where over 10 of the top photographers in their fields share their skills with a small group of photographers from around the world all while enjoying the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.  Because the Fstoppers Workshop is part business and part vacation, the overall vibe and experience is unlike any other workshop in the world.  Last year we met students from all over the globe including Romania, England, South Africa, Germany, Colombia, Brasil, Switzerland, France, Australia, and many other countries.  I can easily say hosting this event was one of the most difficult things I have ever planned in my entire career but it was also the most rewarding thing I have ever experienced.

Learn From Working Professionals

The most important thing when planning a workshop is making sure you have amazing photographers who are not only great teachers but also accomplished and respected artists in their fields.  I could not be more excited about the line up we have at this year's workshop.  No matter if you are looking to improve your portrait lighting skills, expand your wedding photography knowledge, learn new retouching and Photoshop techniques, or tackle another field of photography you have never pursued, there is something for everyone at this workshop.  For a full list of instructors, head over to the Fstoppers Workshop Instructor's page to read about each genre of photography being offered.

Small Class Sizes

If you have ever paid to take a large lecture style workshop, you know it can be pretty difficult impersonal experience. With the Fstoppers Workshops, we wanted to make sure each student could not only spend quality one on one time with their instructors, but we also wanted the students to dictate the overall creative direction of each class.  Because each class is less than 20 students, you will be able to learn directly from your instructors while still having time to work on your own portfolio. No matter if you are looking to take your portfolio to the next level or simply learn a new field of photography altogether, these small intimate workshops make learning a very personal and educational experience.

The Bahamas as a Location

Many people have asked us "why the Bahamas?"  Lee and I have spent a lot of time researching different places to host the Fstoppers Workshop, and the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas stood out from everywhere we visited because it offers such a unique workshop experience.  The beaches are absolutely breathtaking, and the tropical island provides the perfect backdrop for your photography no matter what the genre.  If you are shooting swimwear, fashion, weddings, luxury interiors, or outdoor portraits, you are going to leave this workshop with incredibly beautiful and exotic looking images.   We also have access to over 10 indoor classrooms which makes it easy to shoot products, studio work, or learn photoshop and retouching techniques.

The Community

Perhaps the best thing about the Fstoppers Workshop is the amazing social community we have created.   The Atlantis Resort makes it easy to have a personal and intimate experience because every student and instructor is staying in one centralized location.  If you want to grab dinner with an instructor, go dancing in the nightclub with some new found friends, hit up the casino, set out on a photo walk, or relax on the beach, Atlantis makes it easy to meet everyone at the workshop and make friends.  The Atlantis Resort is also great because if you travel with friends or family who are not photographers, they will have unlimited options for entertainment and recreation.  Everyone who stays at Atlantis gets free access to the water park which is one of the most amazing water parks I've ever experienced.  So if you are traveling alone or decide to vacation with your entire family, it should be easy to feel like a part of the Fstoppers community during your entire trip.

Average Class Size of 10-20 Students

Signup and Registration

For more information about this year's workshop, you can find everything you could possibly want to know about the instructors, classes, and resort over at www.FstoppersWorkshops.com.  Because this entire event is designed to accommodate only 150-200 students, we expect this event will book up very quickly.  This year we are offering a deposit program so you can secure your spot in any class for just $500 (find more info on the deposit program here).  Lee and I, along with all of the instructors, are extremely excited to see everyone in paradise next May, and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as meeting new students who were not able to attend last year's event.

My problem with these workshops....picking which ones to attend! Missed out last year and I don't want that to happen again, so I think I'll start pinching pennies.

I live in the Bahamas and heard about it last year but missed it. How do I register or pay for the workshop?
