Coming to you from Anthony Morganti, this helpful video will take you through everything you need to know about Capture One 22. Capture One is already known for being one of the most powerful editing applications, and the newest version makes it all the more robust. Most notable are features like HDR merging and panorama stitching, putting Capture One on par with Lightroom when it comes to some of landscape and architectural photographers' favorite features. Other improvements include wireless tethering and Auto Rotate, the company's first AI feature. The software is also optimized for Apple M1 chips. And of course, you get all the old favorites like the program's beloved handling of colors. Altogether, Capture One 22 looks like a nice improvement on what is already a deeply refined program. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Morganti.
I purchased C1 21 (Sony version) with a £50 discount not long before they were offering a free upgrade. I have to say, for my needs, there's nothing compelling enough in this new version for me to shell out the same price I paid for my copy of 21 just to upgrade and gain nothing relevant to me. I really don't understand the upgrade pricing strategy. An extra £50 would be reasonable but, considering C1 can sometines be bought with a discount, the upgrade price is far too high.
