In this critique, all twelve of the photographers we featured win both an Fstoppers Tutorial, and a bottle of Lee's hot sauce, Oliveum. (if you live in the USA). You can join the next contest at Fstoppers.com/contests
For the final photography contest of the year, we want to see your best images taken in 2024! There isn't going to be a specific genre for our December contest so anything goes as long as it's one of your favorite or most successful images of the year. Of course it must have been taken or published for the first time in 2024.
Fstoppers is excited to be giving away some amazing photography related gear for each of these critique the community contests. For December's critique we are mixing it up a little bit.
All Picked Submissions will Received the Follow Prizes!
To celebrate the launch of Lee Morris's hot sauce, each image featured in the next Critique the Community will receive a free bottle of Oliveum Hot Sauce. For anyone who has followed Fstoppers over the last few years, you have probably heard the story of Lee's journey into the hot sauce world. Today marks the first time the public can purchase a smaller, more affordable 3.3 oz bottle.
We are excited to see some of the best images created by the Fstoppers Community and we look forward to heading into the new year with a bang!

I agree. It seems ridiculous to call it a "Best of 2024" contest and then allow images that were not taken in 2024 and have them compete against images that were taken in 2024.
Great. Thanks.
Wait... are you saying that the photos
A) have NEVER been posted before on any sites or social media?
B) Were shot between January 1st, 2024 and December 30th, 2024
Or
C) that the photo has never been posted before, regardless of what year it was take?
Oooor ... All of the ABOVE! ;)
thank you for selecting the A2A shot. cam/lens detail :
R5
RF24-70 f2.8 @ 70mm · f/8 · 1/80 · ISO 160
slow the shutter bursts needed to get a fuller prop blur yet sharp detail for the rest. 1/30 would be better but vibrations in skyvan don't help
thanks 2024! lot of great things and achievement in this year. more to come!!!
Thanks for choosing my image (or I should be thanking the community for voting my photo the highest)! I know astrophotography isn't for everyone, but it works for me. The perfect balance of creativity when it comes to editing and technical details when it comes to photographing. The best part is that I can do it while I sleep. I'm looking forward to a Mike Kelley tutorial and hot sauce.
I'm curious to know what Lee's and Patrick's best photos are of 2024.
Anyone else struggling trying to pick their favorite/best images to enter?
What a great year 2024 has been for photography, especially for me as an amatuer! Subjects ranging from the Great American Eclipse of 2024, first time to see and photograph the Northern Lights, 3 week Alaskan Adventure, Antelope Canyon, Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS and a myriad of Zoo Animals. So many highlights I'm sure I'm not naming all of them!
For me this is a difficult task to narrow it down to 3, even if they are amatuer images, they are special to me - perhaps that is why we call it a "passion"!
Thanks for choosing my image, I'm so proud
I haven't been to that many great locations, but I still really struggled to decide what I should enter! I think I deleted and uploaded other photos 3 or 4 times, so now I'm stuck with the 3 I finally ended up with :P
With you on that one Frank. You certainly get around by the way! How much should we be influenced by the star ratings that others give us I wonder? Do you know what I like most about this months contest over all the others? It is that every entry fits the subject (theme), whereas SO OFTEN when watching the judging videos I say to myself "WHAT HAS THAT PHOTO GOT TO DO WITH THE SET SUBJECT?"
If you want some suggestions, I'd say your photo of the snow leopard, the comet, and the Starlink launch stand out the most.
Thanks Ed!
Is it possible to change or delete one pic that I already uploaded? I can not do it. Thanks and happy Christmas!

Many thanks! I couldn't find the dots by using the mobile view. Now, I got it.
