For the final photography contest of the year, we want to see your best images taken in 2024! There isn't going to be a specific genre for our December contest so anything goes as long as it's one of your favorite or most successful images of the year. Of course it must have been taken or published for the first time in 2024.
Rules
- This contest is 100% free to join
- Each photographer may submit up to 3 images
- Each photograph must include a small description that includes details about how the photograph was taken, what post processing was done to it, where it was taken, and why it was your best image taken in 2024. Simply writing a single sentence that doesn't explain much of anything will disqualify you from being chosen!
- These images must have been taken or published for the first time in 2024
Prizes
Fstoppers is excited to be giving away some amazing photography related gear for each of these critique the community contests. For December's critique we are mixing it up a little bit.

Thank you for this awesome year, guys!
By saying that the photo has to be published for the first time in 2024, it means on Fstoppers site or anywhere, including IG, for example?
Ever. You can't have an awesome image you took 5 years ago and claim it to be published today on Fstoppers for the first time. If you took it 5 years ago and did nothing with it but published it in 2024 on your website or delivered it to a client or added it to a book you published this year then it can counted. It just needs to be something you've never shown anyone publicly until 2024.
Obviously, it would be hard to call anyone out on this stuff. But isn't the point that these images should be 'shot in 2024'? as in exif data in 2024... just saying. The contest does say "your best image 'taken' in 2024". But it's all an honor system mostly, I don't think they can call you out on it, unless you happen to be taking a photo of something with a 'Clock' or of something that happens to give away a time-sensitive object.
Great. Thanks.
Wait... are you saying that the photos
A) have NEVER been posted before on any sites or social media?
B) Were shot between January 1st, 2024 and December 30th, 2024
Or
C) that the photo has never been posted before, regardless of what year it was take?
Oooor ... All of the ABOVE! ;)
thanks 2024! lot of great things and achievement in this year. more to come!!!
I'm curious to know what Lee's and Patrick's best photos are of 2024.
