Shot on 31.12.2023 during climbing trip to Patagonia at Mt. Fitz Roy group. That day we had finally really nice weather. This is my friend leading the hardest pitch somewhere in the middle of 500m climb. Going up and down from bivouac place including many rappels took us (we were team of three) 13 hours which is actually quite fast for this route. Additionally there is one day approach and one day walking back to Chalten village.
Obviously the hardest thing in process of making this photo was getting there.
We were saving on weight with climbing equipment as much as possible but my beloved old heavy Canon 5Dmk3 with 16-35 lens had to go with me. I choose it because it would not hurt me too much would I destroy it for whatever reason which could happen quite easily and image quality is still good.
