Photo taken in forest near Kalmthout with Canon R6 mkii combined with RF 100-500. Shutter speed 1/500 sec, F5.6 and ISO6400
The goldcrest is Europe's smallest bird. From beak to tail tip, it measures just 9 cm, and they often weigh no more than 5 grams! All through November I tried to get a good picture of this shy and quick little birdl. This photo was preceded by a lot of lesser attempts and cold hands and feet. But perseverance wins ;-)
