10 Important Pieces of Photography Advice

The beautiful thing about photography is that no matter how new or advanced you are, there is always something new to learn. This excellent video essay features an experienced photographer offering 10 important bits of advice on a range of topics and will help you become a better and more content creative.

Coming to you from James Popsys, this awesome video discusses 10 pieces of advice to help you become a better photographer. One bit I found particular salient is learning to shoot for the edit. Many of us take the time to build a nice composition in the field, but we do not always think ahead to exactly what we want the final product to look like. That is not to say that there is something inherently wrong with improvising a bit in the post-processing stage; after all, that is a great opportunity for a bit of creative experimentation. However, learning to visualize exactly what the finished image will look like allows you to really refine your creative process, make more deliberate decisions, and develop a strong voice. Give it a try the next time you head out and see how it changes your approach. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Popsys.

Mr James Popsys is like a doppelganger of Mr John Anthony teaching "Corona Pickup" course. Lol. Sorry off topic.
