30 Great Tips and Ideas for Photography in Autumn

Fall is my favorite time of the year, simply because I can aim my camera almost anywhere and come away with a beautiful image. This great video will give you 30 helpful tips and ideas for autumn photos.

Coming to you from Photo Tom, this great video gives you a veritable plethora of tips and photo ideas for autumn. Personally, I think no time of year offers more readily available opportunities to create great images than fall, and it's well worth embracing every chance you get to take your camera out and get some shots. That being said, there's a lot more opportunity for variety out there than just documenting the brilliant colors, and with a bit of thought and creativity, you can create some truly memorable images. My personal favorite is finding a river with trees with changing leaves on both banks, then wading into the middle of it with a tripod and taking some long exposures near the water level. I find the onrushing water creates a lot of dynamic movement, while the kaleidoscopic colors frame it and funnel the viewer's eye beautifully. Of course, be careful not to freeze or slip if you try this yourself. No matter what you decide to shoot, be sure to get out with your camera in the next month or so!
