Composition can be a subtle thing and difficult to work on, as unlike parameters like exposure, it cannot be objectively quantified. Nonetheless, it is something we can absolutely work to improve. One thing that I have found helps a lot is to constantly strive to simplify compositions. This means often thinking in a subtractive manner. We often approach composition in an additive manner, trying to include more things for balance, but on the other hand, thinking about stripping down to the bare essentials can often result in stronger, more compelling images.
