Check Out These Great Three-Light Setups

You can produce great images with a wide range of lighting setups ranging from natural light all the way up to several lights. However, a three-light setup is often a sweet spot for a lot of photographers, as it provides a lot of versatility while still being relatively manageable. This excellent video will show you a range of creative three-light setups you can use for your own images.

Coming to you from Karl Taylor, this great video features him discusses some of his favorite three-light setups. The great part about a three-light setup is the vast range of setups and looks you can create, particularly with a range of modifiers at your disposal. If you are new to artificial lighting, it is generally a good idea to start with one-light setups first to build up an understanding of how light and modifiers behave. Once you are comfortable with that, it is a good time to start diving into more complex setups, and if you are stuck at home right now, it is a perfect time to start experimenting and finding a personal style! Check out the video above for the full rundown from Taylor.
