Two of the biggest issues with lower temperatures are battery life and condensation. Cold weather can significantly shorten battery life and become a bit of an issue if you are doing things like shooting time-lapses. While the battery life issue is more of an inconvenience, condensation can seriously damage or even destroy your equipment. It is crucial to be aware of this issue and be careful to mitigate it, particularly when you are moving from a cold environment to a warmer one relatively quickly, such as getting into your car. I was at Ft. Whyte last winter at -27C. Got some great shots since there were so few people visiting, but I didn't last very long. I really need to invest in an electric vest. ;-)
