How to Take Stunning Indoor Portraits With Just Household Items

If you are currently stuck at home and looking for something to shoot, natural light portraits are a fantastic option, especially if you do not have any strobes or monolights in your house with you. This excellent video will show you how you can use items around your house and natural lighting techniques to take stunning portraits.

Coming to you from DPReview, this great video will show you how you can take eye-catching natural light portraits at home using common household items to help shape the light. If you are anything like me, I am sure you are feeling a bit stir crazy at the moment and looking for something to keep your skills sharp and the creative juices flowing. What I really enjoy about projects like this is that they do not require much equipment and instead challenge your ingenuity. And even if you do not end up using the results in your portfolio, it is a great way to pass time and can help enable new creative avenues or techniques for when things pick up again. Grab your spouse or roommate and convince them to model for you for the afternoon! Check out the video above for the full rundown.

I tried taking a picture with my blender... but I think the exposure is off and I'm not sure how to download the image from it... Ha! I kill me...

It's a good article for those who don't have all the accessories and a reminder that the photographer's ingenuity is more important than the gear.
