A Quick Guide to Wedding and Engagement Poses to Jumpstart Your Photos

We can talk fairly objectively about camera settings and post-processing techniques, but something that remains a bit more nebulous and difficult to learn is posing. This great video will show you a range of great poses for your next wedding or engagement shoot.

Coming to you from PS Photo Stuff, this helpful video will show you some surefire poses for wedding or engagement clients. Posing is definitely a subtle and tricky art, particularly since you're working on making your subjects comfortable while creating favorable looks simultaneously. As such, it can be very helpful to have a collection of go-to poses you can use whenever to jumpstart a shoot or your creative process. However, remember these are just jumping-off points; the key is to keep your couple loose, breathing, and comfortable throughout the shoot so these looks don't look posed at all. Once you can get the couple feeling as if they're in their natural element and the camera isn't even there, the posing will flow both more quickly and much more naturally. Don't think of the poses as static looks that you position the couples in, but rather think of them as ways to get generate interesting movement and interaction.
