I've been in the park a couple of times and I know how awesome the Amphitheartre looks in person. I've also seen a ton of shots from either this lake or the Tugela river, but honestly, I don't think any of them work particularly well. The two peaks (Sentinel & Eastern Buttress I think) are just too far apart. And when you add in the reflection, you basically get 4 focal points, one in each corner, which just seems compositionally awkward to me.

Yeah I can see your point here. Maybe I just like the shot because of the memory of standing there, surrounded only by wildlife and watching the fog rise like a curtain. It certainly doesn't do the scenery justice. I like your shots from above more, too. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance of staying up there over night. Maybe on the next trip to ZA.
