I think going with an even longer exposure (either longer shutter or blending multiple exposures) would've brought more of the colors in the sky. Also the verticals of the pier kind of bother me.
Thanks for the feedback Ignacio! Yeah I’ve not experimented with multiple exposures and combining them in post yet. I do agree with you that would produce a better image. I set the exposure time for this image to get the best water smoothness which I was very happy with. I would have loved to have had more time with the sky that night to experiment further. You’re 100% right on those pier pylons. Unfortunately my eyes go straight to that every time I look at this image.
