What do you like about this image/what do you want us to see?

It looks flat, without any interesting light and a blown out sky. Was it taken from a boat? If not why not make it a long exposures and get rid of all distractions ?

I too feel like doing a long exposure, getting that glass smooth sea and even getting rid of the mountains could here. Also the positioning of the island in your feels unbalanced, like too much of the subjet isn't centered enough.
