I was lucky enough to experience two light ray events while in Upper Antelope Canyon that day. The first was a thin pencil-like beam that barely illuminated the small area we were in, and then this one on our way out in this epic cathedral. Our guide threw sand into the air to help pronounce the light, with my shutter capturing this ghost-like pattern rising up through the canyon. It is hard to put into words how amazing this area is, and to be able to capture the light, colour, and texture of these canyons was definitely something I won’t forget.

Congratulations to the winners!
I've seen this location so many times, I never thought I could be impressed by a photo taken there again. I was wrong. Amazing work!
Thanks Jordan! While its definitely a cliché spot, we all want to have our own take on it. I was very fortunate to get this light on this day!
Well, cliche spots are cliche for a reason. They make stunning photos.
I’m not the kind of person who holds that against people, though. If we all had to shoot unique locations we’d have to travel into space, haha.
Love the colors and editing. Really well done. I'd suggest making the sand waterfall centered in your crop though - the extreme right side of your frame isn't doing anything for you anyway, so try and shift that edge in a bit. Just my $0.02.
Thanks Mike! I totally get your point, and was focussing on the glow on the right side that I didn't notice the dead space in between. Will play around with the crop or transform to see what I can do with it.
