Shot on the Big Island of Hawai'i in 2016, before the eruption intensified this year. Here, the 61g lava flow, emanating from the Puʻu ʻŌʻō crater of Kilauea, meets the ocean. This shot was taken just before sunrise after a hike through a lava field.

This shot is straight fire. I love the tack-sharp detail of the lava flow along the right side. Sort of like a laser projecting steam.
