Now this is adventure. After 7 days of skiing in complete autonomy in Svalbard. My friend and I got caught in a blizzard on top of a glacier at 1000m high. -35˚C and winds of up to 100km/h, this storm was no joke and we had no other options but to turn around and push for 18h straight to get off of the glacier. We still had 3 days to get to our objective Newtontoppen (the highest summit in Svalbard) but had to abandon due to this heavy blizzard. We came out okay with just a few frostbites on our faces and toes. The 6 day return home was a bit sad having failed to reach our objective, but it only means we had to try again another time.

Totally the right move to bail! better to walk away with a stunning image(though it deserves more likes), than to not being able to walk away at all.
