Essentially, this one too is a snapshot and doesn't belong in portfolio, that I know. Most obvious thing to me is a blown out sky, but I'm looking for a general feedback on this one, since, well, I'm a sh~ photographer, let's be honest :)

I think this is a decent image. Since the tall building back right has its corner cut off at the top, I'd take a look at it cropped just below the roof line, and while I was at it, I'd probably bring in the right side just a touch to eliminate the sky to the right of it. I'd look at bringing the shadows up a bit as well.
Thank you for your feedback! Cropping it on the right side certainly makes it look better, but cropping the top doesn’t make me like it more... Feels like it’s a bit unfinished there.
Good point about shadows - both my monitors seem to pull these up, so everything looks a bit more contrasty than needed after post.
Hi Daniel. I've taken this shot before too! I like the way you composed the image, although I do agree that cropping a bit of the right and the top might be helpful. The internet is full of boring debates on what is and what isn't street photography, and I'm not exactly a purist, but I wouldn't really consider this street. Not because there's no "street", but it just doesn't have the spontaneous feel and candidness that I consider essential to the genre. You have skill with the camera, and if you're interested in trying out street, I'd recommend checking out the work of people like Garry Winogrand, Saul Leiter, Joel Meyerowitz, Alex Webb, and Vivan Meier from here in Chicago, and seeing if it sparks something! I can agree on all points here. While I have somewhat decent shots in a classic "street" style, they're not anywhere close to this quality (which is still not enough for portfolio).
I'll keep digging through my lightroom library and I'll see what I can find to better fit this contest.
I think the sky is fine, genuine. May be the train lower section need more separation from the track, just a tad and drop the contrast just slightly overall.
BTW, I wouldn't crop the right side because that white side of the bridge is important and also the train would be too centered. That white bridge post lines up with the sky space at the top of the glass building on the right. May be that creates a sense of repeat, but the rivets on the bridge are a strong detail for the bottom right corner
