Can I ask why the spot colour treatment?
Sure you can :) No reason other than I rather felt like it needed a pop of colour to balance the otherwise a bit "top-heavy" image
Interesting. But I think there's no need to draw any attention to the lower half. The upper body is the focus of the image. Completely black and white would rate higher. Nicely lit this portrait.
I think the pop of color is good if this is designed to be a Guess underwear or jeans add. Otherwise the criticism is justified because my eye was immediately drawn to his clothing. But if this dude is trying to be a clothing model, this is a good photo for him.
I certainly don’t dislike the image. I just had the 1st impression that this was a underwear/blue jeans ad. I felt that info would be helpful for this artist in the future.
There is nothing to disagree with Yavor. My eye saw this a certain way, I shared that view, now Siim can know how his image is viewed by an casual viewer. I simply made an observation. It’s interesting that you viewed ANY critisism as being negative. You know this contest is called “critique the community” right? Polite critisism is what is expected.
