I like the shot and frame here but I think the lighting is off. Either bounce light up onto the wall and his face or adjust exposure for the subject. Great shot nonetheless.
Thank you Jason - This shot presented itself and after hiking in a long ways and not having a reflector I ended up with this darker look. I could of pulled the shadows a bit more but ended up liking keeping the focus on the small hold hes about to pull on. Totally agree that it would of been worth having that extra light source though, Thank you for that!
I kind of like him being on the darker side. I do wish the rock wasnt right behind his head, but can understand you probably didnt have too many composition options with this.
Thank you, I agree with the comment - It makes it more about the action than the person. Completely agree with the rock - would have been cleaner that way!
