During Thaipusam Festival the selected persons carry this "canopy" on their shoulder to the temple, they walk barefoot and the canopy is fixed by needles to the body. The journey to the temple can take up to 1 week depending how far is the temple.

I feel like this is more of a studio portrait that is posed rather than an "in the moment" shot. Regardless, NAILED the fundamentals here!
I shoot this in the middle of the event with a telephoto zoom, the guy didn't even notice I was taking the shot. Thanks for the comment!
