This property is right in the middle of suburbia Shawnee, KS but feels completely isolated. Sitting on 6 acres of land and surrounded by massive trees, it feels like the closest neighbor is miles away.

With properties like this the challenge is always what to leave out. You strike a good balance between detail and composition here. Well lit without going overboard and over all give a very welcoming and inviting feeling to the property. I wonder what it would look like if there was just a little less driveway in the foreground. Maybe a bit of a crop would help put even more emphasis on the house. Great work!

Fantastic photo! I gave it a 4. I only wish the leaves at the top right were taken out or used in more of a creative way. Other than that I think you killed it!

Thank you Jeremy! I appreciate that. Yeah in hindsight, I think I should have removed those leaves & branch in post.

Do you tone down the yellows from the artificial light? Do you prefer a more white light or the yellow for color contrast?

I always try to lean slightly on the warmer side with the light, but I try to steer clear of going nuclear neon with it. Since good twilights are generally taken around the "blue hour", a slightly warmer feel to the artificial light adds a bit of good contrast.
