I really like the idea of this photo, but my biggest problem is all of the wires and equipment in from of him. What was you apperature? It is also kind of distracting that one of the poles across the page and sound box are in focus. I really like this photo, however. It has good exposure and lighting, but a slightly different composition could have made it slightly better. This is all in my opinion of course. Great job!

My F stop was 3.2. I was in a small room and had my camera in my bag. All I had was an 85mm. So as far as shots go I couldnt do much. I took pictures from the entrance of the booth through the door frame. I also have a dlsr so I shot maybe 10 images through out the night. I didnt want shutter to be picked up by the mics.

I understand now. I also want to say, that is just my opinion. Photography is an art, and I see no technical flaws. Great photo all together, I just personally don't like the composition.

Its fine. I do portraiture for companies. I work with oil companies and fashion companies. I also shoot for modeling agencies. This isnt one of my favorite images by any means and I accept and like all criticism because I cant see how everyone thinks. Be as real as possible; I can only wish my clients were. I like the composition but that being said I respect that you dont and I enjoyed you said you didnt. The fact you gave a comment and explained instead of just a star, thank you.

I like the clutter around and partially in front of him - especially when the face is sharp like this. To me, it conveys a feeling of controlled chaos.

Thank you, I felt the same thing. I was glad with it because I had such limited compositions to go with. All my gear was in storage or at my house and I only had a long lens with me.
