This is an image I made for my friend Cody Rife’s first solo album “the art of suffering.” This album is him working though the fact that he’s not been allowed to see his son ever since he was born (legal problems).
I used the craft materials, like felt and yarn for his heart and the blood to try and bring his young son's presence to the image.
He wanted to shoot it a little more moody, and dark. But I persuaded him to go lighter and more open. So it would be more naked.
