This location is notoriously fickle when it comes to the weather, often socked in completely by low-hanging clouds. I got lucky on this day, with mostly clear air in the immediate area and storm clouds on the horizon combining with the sunrise filtered through distant mist and rain to create this surreal scene. This is a single image--I really wish it was just a *little bit* wider, but this is already shot at 14mm, so not sure how much wider I could really go. The perspective here accentuates the lopsided nature of the stairs--sometimes I think it helps to convey the off-kilter nature of the trail, but sometimes I think it's a bit distracting. What do you think?
