Stormy

A bit different from my usual work and the other images I submitted to this critique. This shot is from a trek through Nepal a few years ago during the monsoon season. The monsoon clouds surrounded Dhaulagiri, the 7th highest mountain in the world at 8,167 meters. There wasn't much color to speak of in this image, so I thought the black and white worked well--though I don't have much experience with black and white conversions. We were hiking in the rain shadow of the Annapurna Massif and managed to stay (mostly) dry over our three week trek, but the threat of rain was almost constant, and we did get caught in the occasional downpour.
