This shot was actually inspired by the Fstoppers Intro or trailer to Photographing the World 1. I positioned myself so that my partner would be above the horizon to convey a sense of empowerment while still being in balance in the frame, opposite the waterfall. I decided to crop to a 2:1 pano to remove some of the sky and harsher shadows in the foreground and push my subject higher away from the middle of the frame.
I still shoot with an entry level camera, so on a recent first trip to Iceland, I was glad to have rented gear to take full advantage of the landcsape photography, annd have weather sealing.
