"Cypress Grove" On our way into Charleston SC we stopped for a fun tour at Cypress Gardens, including a row boat ride through the marsh. Shot with my "tourist camera", a compact Canon Powershot, and all natural except for minor post production to exposure, highlights, and shadows. I wanted the bow rails to connect with the darkest tree reflection in the water, carrying on to the noble cypress above, creating a kind of "hourglass" leading line. The gentle flow of these lines from the viewer's seated perspective to the sky perfectly reflects the serenity of this relaxed southern landscape.
