Murrundi boodalang (Aboriginal language) Murray River Pelicans.
Taken with a Nikon D5200 55-300mm. On the Murray River at Mannum, South Australia.
With such a long lens I had to stand well back to be able to get the boat and small patch of grass in frame. I'm actually standing over a dirt road.
I took about 10 shots of these pelicans, this being the best one with everything important in focus. I did use a tripod. No editing was performed.
My 3 photos are a small showcase of my backyard, Australia, outback to rainforest, to beaches.
I am not a professional photographer, My skills are VERY limited. But I am learning.
I have limited and outdated equipment. My health is also limited...
And think a photo is a memory of a time and place we'll never get back.
