I have recently been traveling around the New England area for the past few months, and was greeted with this incredible sunset my first day in Maine. I took the opportunity to get a shot of this spruce tree overlooking the Mooselookmeguntic Lake. It felt like the perfect representation of the state and a great start to a visit to one of my favorite places. I shot this handheld on my Sony A7R V with the Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8 all the way at 150mm and 2.8 to get clean separation. Very minimal color correcting on this photo as I wanted to preserve an accurate look of the sky and colors.
