I was lucky enough to be sent to Singapore for a business trip last October.
This is 1 of 2 shots that I knew I wanted to get while I was there. This is the Central Business District on Marina Bay.

Lucky for me I had also recently purchased the PTW series and unbeknownst to me there is a tutorial on basically this same shot. So, I got to follow along in editing my own shot of the skyline in Singapore. It also helped save me time because I got to watch Elia do most of my scouting for me before I went.

Once I found a composition I liked I took bracketed photos every so often for about 2 hours. I don't remember if I used 2 or 3 photos to make this. I believe it's just 2. A normally exposed base layer and an underexposed (exposed for the lights) photo. I used photoshop to paint in the lights from the underexposed image into the regular image. I also did basic adjustments in lightroom and used some of the settings in Nik Color Effects Pro to finish it off.

I don't know if it was just the time of year I was there or the weather or both but none of the sunsets were particularly colorful. They were all mostly just kind of grey. I was there for a week. However, blue hour over there was absolutely gorgeous. And lasted at least an hour if not longer.
