This photo was taken at Serbia's biggest ski resort, Kopaonik in 2021. That year the winter was really cold and wet.
The day I took this image I went to solo hike to one ski slope with no particular photo idea in my mind. The idea was to follow the light and changing conditions.
Just around golden hour this scene captured my attention. The group of side lit fir tree reminded me on a family portrait.
Biggest challenge was to properly setup a tripod in 6ft deep snow.
Shot with Canon 5D mark IV and Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lens at 200mm, f/11, ISO 100 and 1/40s.
Single exposure, edited in Lightroom (basic adjustments) and Photoshop (dodge and burn).
