I got out of work one evening and saw the potential for an amazing sunset. I ran home, literally, packed my truck with gear and headed up to the Santa Fe Vista Grande Observation Site. I arrived just before the peak of colors and was able to find this composition that I liked to photograph through the sunset.
I used my Pentax K20D and smc PENTAX-DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL II on a tripod. My camera settings were @18mm f8 1/10s 100 iso.
In post I used Adobe Camera Raw to bring the exposure up, to apply lens corrections, to alter the white balance, and to change the contrast and saturation. In photoshop I did dust removal and some selective curves adjustment layers.
