Glacier National Park, Montana. McDonald Creek, north of Lake McDonald. This was taken a short walk along the creek edge from a parking area off the Going to the Sun Road. We'd spent a few days hiking around the area, and I had been looking for some way to incorporate the striking colors on display in the rocks and water. The water contains rock flour, created by glaciation, causing it to appear quite vibrantly blue in the right light conditions.
