One of my all-time favorite thanksgiving adventures. I hiked up to Tre Cime in the dark to shoot sunrise. I didn't realize the main gate would be locked during winter so I had to hike a lot further than planned. It was cold, but absolutely stunning. I knew I wanted to shoot sunset, but I wasn't going to hike out and then back again so I decided to stay and explore all day. Sadly I only had some water and 35grams of beef jerky, which made for a very meager Thanksgiving dinner. While wandering in the very cold weather, I happened across a cave that lead to this via ferrata route. The view was stunning and I immediately knew the shot I wanted for sunset. I then hunkered down in the cave wearing every bit of clothing I had with me to wait for the sunset. The wait was worth it
