Sunrise at the Rice Terraces of Tegalalang which is located near Ubud in Bali, Indonesia. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It is a bit tricky to find good spots as you have to hike quite a bit up and down to see it all. I was originally there for sunset but when I finally found that spot I realized that sunrise is probably the better light. So the next morning 4.00 back into a taxi, hiked for 30 minutes in the complete dark and waited for the sunrise. As you can see, there were quite some clouds so it was an emotional rollercoaster with the light. Finally sun was coming through, leaving beautiful light trails as the villages around were burning a lot of wood to prepare breakfast. I used a 5D IV, wide-angle lens (31mm) on a tripod. For the light trails, I used several apertures to increase the light trail effect, the rest was shot at F11 to maximize sharpness.
