Latemar at Lago Carezza, South Tyrol, Italy.
For this one i got up at 3am, drove an hour into the mountains to capture sunrise at Lago Carezza. At the time i only had one lens for my Sony a7r, which was the Zeiss 55mm 1.8. Since that was nowhere wide enough, i photographed 5 vertical images (each of them exposure bracketed) panning on my tripod, freezing like hell, and then later stitched it together in Photoshop. I was so relieved when i saw it had worked out, because leaving there, i didn't know if i actually had a picture. Although this lake is often photographed, this picture will never be taken again, because a few weeks after, a big storm destroyed all the trees behind the lake.
