2.2 - "Needs Work"

This photo was taken while my wife and I were on our first full-week vacation in 22 years. We drove from Columbia S.C. to Marathon Key, Florida so we could explore the keys. I took my Canon 5DIV with 24 - 105 lens so I could capture some of the sunsets and hopefully a passing thunderstorm. All ten sunsets we watched were awesome but on the day I took this photo the reflection of the sunset in the clouds was where the real beauty was found. This photo was shot facing east, about 10 - 15 minutes before the sun fully set. Unfortunately, I'd decided to fish this particular afternoon and left my camera in the condo so, rather than missing this photo all together by running back to get my camera from the condo, I took this photo with my LG smartphone. The reflection only lasted about 3 minutes so I was at the right place at the right time.

I processed the image in Lightroom. I fixed the blacks and whites by dodging and burning and adjusted the exposure for screensaver and printing.
