Devil's Pulpit is a striking geological formation located in Finnich Glen, Scotland, known for its dramatic red sandstone walls and the peculiarly red-colored water that flows through it. This crimson hue in the water is primarily attributed to the iron oxide deposits found in the surrounding rocks. When the iron-rich sandstone erodes, it releases iron particles into the stream, giving the water its unique reddish tint. This vivid contrast between the rust-colored water and the lush green surroundings adds to the mystical and enchanting ambiance of Devil's Pulpit.

This is an HDR photograph taken using Sony A7RIII and Sigma 20mm f/1.4 lens on a tripod with ND and polarising filters. The settings were: f/5.6, ISO100 and varying exposure time for each photo that was used to create an HDR image. I focused on bringing up the amazing colours by mainly adding saturation and contrast.
