A fall image of Helton Falls deep inside the Chattahoochee National Forest in the north Georgia Mountains. The narrow trail to the falls is difficult to negotiate with a bunch of camera equipment but the drive to the falls on a state fire road is outrageous. Washouts, potholes and a single lane, old logging road is more than challenging. Also the flow of the water over the precipice can dry up during dry autumn days. I arrive at the site just after a couple of days of rain. Lucky!!!
