Cottage by the Lake

I recently had the opportunity to photograph this little gem of a cottage while on a family vacation in Connemara, Ireland. The weather wasn't great when I ventured out in the early hours to capture the photo, it was grey, drizzling and quite windy. The composition was quite simple, but I wanted to emphasise the leading line of the stone jetty towards the cottage, so I set my tripod down low. I focus stacked for the foreground, mid ground, and cottage, due to the strong winds, I also had to do a separate shot for the long exposure I wanted to create. All this was combined in PS, with some Nik DXO, some curves adjustments and a bit of autumn colour added.
