Taken at 4am on May 21st, 2023, Old Faithful lived up to its reputation and thundered to life with the galactic core of the Milky Way looming. The cold, clear skies gave unbelievable views of the heavens. The nearby Old Faithful Inn gives some color to the steam plume of the famous geyser. Seeing this icon in daylight is beautiful, but to see it alone with nothing but the stars for company is truly indescribable.
Taken on my Nikon D850 with a Nikkor 20mm f/1.8 in a 15 second exposure with light editing in Photoshop to color correct and enhance contrast to make the stars pop.
